The sacred Ganges River and its tributaries flow through the Four Dhams, located in Uttarakhand (formerly Uttaranchal) in North India. These Four Dhams—Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath—are celebrated for their stunning natural beauty and ancient temples. The Chardham Yatra in 16 Days covers not only these revered shrines but also the holy temples of Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Rudraprayag, offering a profound spiritual journey through this sacred region.
Day 01: Delhi Arrival
You arrive in Delhi by international flight. After a traditional ‘Swagat’ (Welcome) our representatives would assist you at the airport and to our hotel for check in and overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Rest of the morning at leisure. You will be taken on a guided tour of Delhi, beginning with a morning sightseeing trip to Old Delhi and followed by visits to the 1648 Red Fort, India’s largest mosque – Jama Masjid and Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat. Afternoon tour includes visits to India Gate, President’s House, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple and Qutab Minar. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Haridwar
In the morning, we drive to Haridwar, where the Ganges flows from the mountains to the plains. The city is known for its serene ghats, especially in the evening when Diyas and marigolds illuminate the river. We’ll visit key sites like Mansa Devi Temple and Har Ki Pauri, where we’ll witness the Maha Aarti ceremony.
Day 04: Haridwar - Rishikesh
We drive to Rishikesh, the gateway to the Himalayas in the Tehri-Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Known for its spiritual significance, Rishikesh is where many yogis and sages practiced penance and where Lord Vishnu is said to have defeated the demon Madhu. The town is surrounded by natural beauty, with the Ganges flowing through the Himalayan foothills. We’ll visit several temples along the river, and in the evening, we’ll witness a special prayer ceremony at Triveni Ghat.
Day 05: Haridwar - Barkot
We proceed to Barkot. En-route at Mussoorie, on the way visit Kempty Falls. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Barkot.
Day 06: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot
we will proceed to Phoolchatti. On arrival, we begin our trek to Yamunotri (7 km/ 3 hrs) to visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna, situated on the bank of the river. You can take a holy dip in the nearby tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals performed by the devotees. We return to Barkot in the evening. Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Barkot.
Day 07: Barkot - Harsil
we will proceed to Harsil – one the most beautiful valleys in the world. En-route we will stop at Gangnani for hot water spring dip. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Harsil.
Day 08: Harsil - Gangotri - Harsil
we proceed to Gangotri (22 kms/1 hr). On arrival take a holy deep in the River scared The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely surrounding. In the afternoon return back to Harsil. In the evening perform the Ganga Aarti at resorts own riverbank. Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Harsil.
Day 09: Harsil - Guptakashi
we will proceed to Guptakashi. Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.
Day 10: Guptakashi - Kedarnath
we proceed to Gaurikund (19 kms / 30 mnts). Take a holy dip at Taptakund and begin our trek to Kedarnath (14 kms/4 hrs). In the evening we take you to visit Kedarnath Temple for Darshan, Aarti & pooja. Overnight at Punjab & Sindh Awas or similar.
Day 11: Kedarnath - Guptakashi
we start our journey towards Guptakashi with a stopover at Taptakund. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.
Day 12: Guptakashi - Joshimath
We proceed to Joshimath , one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through medicinal forest. On arrival in check in to your Chardham camp. Evening is free for you to explore Joshimath on your own. Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Joshimath.
Day 13: Joshimath - Badrinath - Joshimath
We proceed to Badrinath. On arrival take holy Darshan and spend time visiting Mana Village. We return to Joshimath in the evening. Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Joshimath.
Day 14: Joshimath-Rudraprayag
We proceed to Rudraprayag and stay overnight at Rudraprayag.
Day 15: Rudraprayag-Haridwar
we tour the temples of Rudraprayag and then proceed to Haridwar Check into the hotel on arrival and later take a tour of Haridwar including the temples and Har ki Pauri, a sacred site. Stay overnight in Haridwar.
Day 16: Haridwar-Delhi
We leave for Delhi. Arrive check into a hotel and relax. Then we leave for the international airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
